Winter in Alpbach in Tyrol
At an elevation between 600 and 2025 m, one of the most beautiful and multi-faceted winter sports areas of the Alps is awaiting you. Over 50 km of groomed, snow-guaranteed slopes, 19 lifts, and the Alpbachtal snow park are a real treat for skiers and snowboarders. The winter season begins here in the beginning of December and extends into April. On Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, the Reitherkogel lift is popular for night skiing, where the floodlights turn night into day.

Far above the tree line is the summit station of the Pöglbahn lift. From here, where the view is as beautiful as it gets, "red" ski slopes drop down 4 km on the longest ski run into the valley. This route is truly something for laid-back skiers who want to carve down the wide slopes.
For athletic skiers, there are various "black" ski slopes and a few race hills. If you need some practice on your skis or snowboard, you can get in touch with one of the many ski schools, which also offer separate courses for children. Of course in the Alpbachtal winter sports area, there are also many cross-country trails, whether classic cross-country skiing or the sportier "skating" techique.
The winter opportunities are also complemented by a variety of treats such as snowshoe hikes or toboggan rides with the whole family. Away from the slopes and cross-country trails, the Alpbach valley offers a large number of cozy huts, which invite you to relax and warm up.
Hearty meals and warm drinks ensure that you can set out with renewed strength. Of course, in the Alpbach valley and Zillertal, there is also a colorful, diverse nightlife with clubs, bars, discotheques, and plenty of live music.
